Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is opening the doors of the crypto exchange to outgoing Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staff, inviting them to join the company through a fast-track hiring program.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Armstrong encouraged former DOGE operatives to apply for roles at the crypto exchange.

"We’ve set up an accelerated interview/hiring process in recognition of your unique skills and service to the country," he wrote.

The post comes after a Fox News clip featuring 22-year-old former DOGE staffer and Harvard dropout Ethan Shaotran went viral.

In the clip, which can be viewed here, Shaotran, who helped launch DOGE in 2017, said his work with the agency cost him friendships and status on campus.

However, he added that he wouldn't trade it for anything, praising the team's mission and work ethic.

"We pulled all-nighters together, cutting through red tape, trimming bureaucratic waste, all in the dead of night, fueled by donuts and coffee," Shaotran said of the team's efforts to streamline federal operations.

His comments come after DOGE announced it had achieved $170 billion in savings through asset sales, contract and lease cancellations, and reductions in the federal workforce, among other initiatives.

"If you are looking for your next mission after serving your country, consider helping create a more efficient financial system for the world at Coinbase," Armstrong added.

Earlier this year, Armstrong publicly supported the idea of DOGE and called for the end of the income tax.

Coinbase has spent over $70 million in 2024 alone supporting crypto-friendly political action committees and recently added Trump campaign co-manager Chris LaCivita to its advisory board.

The company's shares have soared in recent times, with Coinbase set to be included in the S&P 500 index.
