Rosen Bridge is integrating Dogecoin into its cross-chain ecosystem in the next two weeks.

This integration will enable DEFi applications such as yield farming, staking and enhanced privacy features to be used with Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is currently not able to be used in DEFi on other chains such as Ethereum due to a lack of interoperability.

However, Rosen Bridge’s technology aims to connect different chains together to promote greater collaboration and innovation in the crypto ecosystem.

Its architecture is designed to minimise security risks.

It uses a unique ‘Watchers and Guards’ consensus mechanism, which is an alternative to the smart contracts that are often targeted by hackers.

Earlier this month, a major cross-chain bridge was hacked for over $7.2 million.

But Rosen Bridge’s architecture is designed to be more secure and scalable.

It is also more efficient than conventional bridges as it does not require any tokens to be burned or locked in order to facilitate cross-chain transfers.

Rosen Bridge launched on the Ergo Mainnet in December and is compatible with the ErgoPad decentralized exchange.

Ergo is a green and energy-efficient cryptocurrency, which is powered by the PoW (Proof-of-Work) consensus mechanism.

Its native token is ERGO.

Earlier this week, Ergo announced a partnership with Web3 gaming studio Vivid Games to develop and launch a collection of NFT games.

The integration with Dogecoin could see the crypto landscape majorly shift as it opens the door for the meme coin to be used in DEFi.
