New Year Hope in the Mountains | Nomadic Mother Builds Her Shelter During War Even as the war in Iran continues, hope is still alive in the mountains. With the arrival of the New Year, this strong nomadic mother continues her journey of survival and resilience in her mountain shelter. On this day, Mina works alone to build and complete parts of the shelter, as Ismail has gone to the city for medical treatment and physiotherapy. Despite being on her own, she continues working hard, showing incredible strength and determination. Together with little Sanaz, Mina waters the young saplings and continues cement work inside the courtyard, slowly improving their living conditions. Due to the ongoing war and economic difficulties, fuel like oil has become very hard to find. To prepare for the cold nights, Mina climbs into the mountains to gather firewood. The cameraman joins her and helps collect enough wood for the coming days. Around them, shepherds bring their sheep to graze under a clear and sunny sky, creating a peaceful contrast to the tension in the country. After returning, Mina cuts the firewood into smaller pieces and stores it carefully. She feeds Rex, their loyal dog, and later prepares warm tea and a delicious omelet for Sanaz and the cameraman. Although the day feels calm and hopeful, Mina remains deeply worried about the ongoing conflict. She continues to pray for peace and hopes that the war will soon come to an end.
