**DIM VERGE – La Valise** *La Valise* is the eighth song in my ongoing French-language project. This song was born from a deeply personal reflection on absence, memory, and the objects that become silent witnesses to our lives. The story is told from a female point of view because I imagined one of my daughters facing the day when our shared journeys come to an end — the moment when the suitcase that once accompanied family trips becomes a hospital suitcase instead. In the song, the suitcase is more than an object. It carries the memories of everything that was lived together: departures, returns, laughter, ordinary moments, and love. Once left behind, it becomes a painful reminder of what can no longer be experienced again, making the absence even more tangible and the grief even deeper. *La Valise* is a song about the traces we leave in the lives of those we love, and about how memories continue to travel long after we are gone.
