Sheffield, Tasmania is unlike any other country town in Australia. In the 1980s, a visionary community project helped revive the town through public art, creating what is now one of Australia's most unique tourism experiences. (Alf) Rowe, the inventor of the world's first practical coin-operated petrol pump, and the replica hollow tree that once served as a rural mail collection point.
