In cold weather, we are increasingly saving ourselves from the wind and frost with unusual long scarves, which every now and then get untied, get caught in the zipper, or simply get in the way. Now there are many modern and convenient accessories that make life much more comfortable. For example, warm snoods, fleece collars, knitted shirtfronts, soft balaclava necks. But one of the most popular and practical options is a clamp. Many people like the clamp precisely for its convenience. Unlike a classic scarf, it does not unwind, does not move to one side and does not require special tying strategies. Just put it on and it fits neatly on your shoulders and holds its shape perfectly. This is why they love it: reliable, convenient and beautiful. The best part is that you can sew a collar with your own hands in just 20–30 minutes. It's really fast, and the result is no worse than store-bought. The main thing is to choose the right fabric. It should be soft, pleasant to the skin, warm enough and drape well. Thin wool, soft knitwear or even a large scarf made of lightweight fabric will do. We cut out a square measuring 59 × 59 cm. Next, fold it diagonally to form a large triangle. Then we fold it again - this time we combine two opposite corners. Now you need to make the markings. From the last fold downwards we mark two points. We place the first one at a distance of 26 cm along the edge that is perpendicular to the fold. The second - at a distance of 30 cm, but slightly to the left of the first. We connect these two marks with a line and cut off the bottom corner. This is where the difficult part ends. We unfold the fabric, fold it again the same way as it was, and sew the place where the cut was made. After this, we turn the product inside out - and the shape is already a real clamp. To hide the cuts, turn the clamp right side out and stitch along the outer edge, leaving a small hole for turning it inside out. Then we carefully sew up this hole by hand. That's all - the clamp is ready. We put it on over the head, straighten it slightly - and it lies beautifully in soft folds, creating comfort around the neck. This accessory looks modern, stylish and fits almost any clothing - from a down jacket to a coat.
