Bitcoin Shows 1.62% Kimchi Premium in Korean Market on October 8

As of 12:00 AM KST on October 8, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 176.4 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, down 0.64% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 173.59 million KRW, resulting in a price gap of 2.81 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 1.62%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, recorded a 1.66% Kimchi Premium. Other major altcoins also displayed notable premiums: Solana (SOL) at 1.56%, XRP (XRP) at 1.66%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 1.96%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 1.39%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium in the 1.3% to 1.9% range.
