Bitcoin Shows 5.45% Kimchi Premium in Korean Market on October 21

As of 12:00 AM KST on October 21, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 166.59 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, up 1.08% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 157.98 million KRW, resulting in a price gap of 8.61 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 5.45%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, recorded a Kimchi Premium of 5.48%. Other major altcoins also showed similar premiums: Solana (SOL) at 5.56%, XRP (XRP) at 5.41%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 5.58%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 5.97%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium in the 5.4% to 5.9% range.
