Bitcoin Shows 7.34% Kimchi Premium in Korean Market on October 17

As of 12:00 AM KST on October 17, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 167.83 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, down 0.42% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 156.36 million KRW, marking a price gap of 11.47 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 7.34%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, showed a Kimchi Premium of 7.21%. Other major altcoins also recorded notable premiums: Solana (SOL) at 7.20%, XRP (XRP) at 7.28%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 7.59%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 7.93%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium in the 7.2% to 7.9% range in the Korean market.
