Bitcoin Shows 7.45% Kimchi Premium in Korean Market on October 19

As of 12:00 AM KST on October 19, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 163.59 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, down 0.03% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 152.25 million KRW, resulting in a price gap of 11.34 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 7.45%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, showed a Kimchi Premium of 7.46%. Other major altcoins also exhibited similar premiums: Solana (SOL) at 7.40%, XRP (XRP) at 7.51%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 7.45%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 7.22%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium in the 7.2% to 7.5% range.
