In a single hour, Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a significant liquidation event totaling $32.31 million. The vast majority, $31.03 million, stemmed from long positions, dwarfing the $1.29 million liquidated from short positions—a disparity exceeding 3,100% according to CoinGlass.
This event was part of a broader trend across the cryptocurrency market. Over the preceding 24 hours, $483.01 million in positions were liquidated across various assets. Long positions accounted for $255.37 million, while short positions totaled $227.64 million. Although less pronounced than the hourly spike, the overall 24-hour data still indicated a market leaning bullish.
Bitcoin saw the highest liquidation volume, followed by Ethereum (ETH) at $19.36 million. Other prominent altcoins, including XRP ($3.35 million), Solana (SOL) ($2.71 million), and Dogecoin (DOGE) ($1.73 million), also experienced notable liquidations.
