Bitcoin Records 5.74% Kimchi Premium in Korean Market on October 14

As of 12:00 AM KST on October 14, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 172.02 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, down 1.04% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 162.68 million KRW, resulting in a price gap of 9.34 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 5.74%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, recorded a Kimchi Premium of 5.64%. Other major altcoins also showed similar levels: Solana (SOL) at 5.61%, XRP (XRP) at 5.77%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 6.12%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 5.81% — indicating that most top altcoins are currently trading with premiums in the 5.6% to 6.1% range.
