Bitcoin Records 0.94% Kimchi Premium in South Korea on August 27

As of 12:00 AM KST on August 27, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 155.32 million KRW on South Korea's Upbit exchange, down 0.37% from the previous day. On global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 153.86 million KRW, resulting in a price gap of 1.46 million KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 0.94%.

Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, showed a Kimchi Premium of 0.87%. Other major altcoins also recorded notable premiums: Solana (SOL) at 0.90%, XRP (XRP) at 0.88%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 0.80%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 0.65%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium in the 0.6% to 0.9% range.
