Dogecoin (DOGE) has made significant progress with the release of Libdogecoin version 0.1.4. This foundational C library simplifies Dogecoin integration into various applications.
The release boasts several updates prioritizing cryptographic performance across multiple platforms. Since the 0.1.3 release in February 2024, the Dogecoin team has implemented substantial improvements, including Dogebox support, SPV PUP (a lightweight node service), and enhanced key management capabilities.
Faster, more secure, and more compatible, Libdogecoin 0.1.4 is available now.
The 0.1.4 release incorporates ongoing developments, such as Intel and ARM performance enhancements, REST API extensions for the SPV node, expanded secure enclave support, and the addition of YubiKey hardware key storage. A new ChaCha20-based pseudorandom number generator is also included.
Prioritizing performance, a bench command-line tool has been added. This tool runs performance tests on cryptographic operations (including SHA256), allowing developers to compare configurations and optimizations for optimal results.
Libdogecoin 0.1.4 supports secure enclaves, enabling key-related operations like mnemonic generation and seed handling within isolated environments.
