eToro, the social investing platform, has expanded its crypto offerings in the U.S., adding 12 new digital assets including Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) and Aave (CRYPTO: AAVE).
Here's what you need to know:
What Happened: eToro's U.S. users can now trade a total of 15 cryptocurrencies, up from the three that were previously available. The new tokens also include Aave, Aptos (CRYPTO: APT), Band Protocol (CRYPTO: BAND), Chainlink (CRYPTO: LINK), Celo (CRYPTO: CELO), Compound (CRYPTO: CRYPTO:UMPOUND), Decentraland (CRYPTO: MANA), Enjin Coin (CRYPTO: ENJ), Flow (CRYPTO: FLOW), Hedera (CRYPTO: HBAR) and Solana (CRYPTO: SOL).
The move is part of eToro's push to widen its footprint in the U.S. market and to meet retail demand and match offerings from larger players like Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) and Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD).
The announcement comes just weeks after eToro made its public debut on Nasdaq, becoming the first U.S. crypto firm to go public after months of trade tensions and shaky markets. Stablecoin issuer Circle, who has long had plans to go public, filed for its initial public offering on Tuesday.

Why It's Important: eToro's IPO was well-received despite the turbulent macro backdrop. The company raised around $310 million, surpassing expectations and signaling investor interest in the combined stock and crypto trading platform model.
The company's stock is modestly lower on Wednesday at $64.15, but remains nicely above the IPO price of $52.
The addition of these new cryptocurrencies to eToro's platform in the U.S. broadens the investment options available to users and positions eToro to compete more effectively in the crowded U.S. financial technology sector.
"We are committed to providing our users with access to the latest and greatest cryptocurrencies, and we are excited to add these 12 new tokens to our platform in the U.S.," said Ben Duell, the head of eToro U.S.
"These additions are part of our broader effort to expand our product offerings and provide our users with the best possible trading experience."
The new cryptocurrencies are now available for trading on eToro's platform in the U.S. Users can buy, sell, and trade the tokens with low fees and a user-friendly interface.
