Shiba Inu (SHIB) Could Reach Market Capitalization of $39 Billion, Experts Weigh in on Its Chances of Overtaking DOGE

A survey by Finder has revealed that a majority of financial experts do not see Shiba Inu (SHIB) outperforming Dogecoin (DOGE) in terms of market capitalization.

Out of the 14 experts who participated in the survey, 79% believe that SHIB will never surpass Dogecoin. Meanwhile, 14% of respondents are unsure whether SHIB can turn things around, while a small minority of 7% are optimistic about SHIB overtaking DOGE as early as 2026.

Interestingly, Dr. Sathvik Vishwanath, CEO of Unocoin, gave a view on why SHIB will find it difficult to reach the milestone. According to him, the huge supply of Shiba Inu tokens and their speculative nature are the main factors hindering the growth of SHIB’s market capitalization.

“Shiba Inu has a very interesting token economic model and a very enthusiastic community. But the large supply of tokens and the speculative nature of the token will make it difficult for SHIB to catch up to Dogecoin’s market capitalization despite the recent surge in price,” Vishwanath stated.

Currently, SHIB has a circulating supply of 589.25 trillion tokens, while Dogecoin has 148.82 billion tokens.
