The Federal Reserve held the fed rate at 3.75%, but a surging 0.7% PPI signaled stubborn wholesale inflation, dampening hopes for near-term cuts. Labor data showed a surprise cooling, with ADP Employment Change dropping to just 9K. Meanwhile, oil futures traded in a volatile range from $91-$102, ultimately closing -1.2% lower than the previous week. . This combination of sticky inflation and geopolitical uncertainty weighed heavily on equities, leading the SPY to a -2.07% weekly decline. At TwB we cover it all.
