A farmer named Nepal Majhi from Jadamunda village under Komna police station allegedly died after consuming poison, following delays in selling his harvested paddy despite having a valid token. According to reports, he had been waiting for nearly 24 days after receiving the token for selling around 37 quintals of paddy. Financial pressure, loan burden, and family responsibilities reportedly pushed him into severe mental stress. The farmer had also participated in a protest demanding immediate paddy procurement. Later, after returning home, a dispute reportedly occurred over financial issues, after which he allegedly consumed poison. He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital but unfortunately died during treatment. Police have seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
