I bought land with THREE abandoned buildings about to be demolished — and inside I found a coin from 1895, an antique hand-carved rocking crib, and clues that one of these houses might have been a hospital. The moment I stepped through the first door, I knew this place was different. The locking system alone — old, heavy, designed by hands long gone — felt like a message from the past. Inside: a massive stone stove, a mysterious wheel that fits some unknown mechanism, and what looks like a silver ring left on a dusty table. Time stopped here, and nobody came back. Then things got stranger. Two enormous round stones hidden in a back room — millstones, almost certainly used to grind flour. A glass shade from a chandelier. A sickle. An oil lamp with no glass. A vintage canister I haven't seen a shape like in decades. Every room was a quiet museum nobody asked for. The second building stopped me cold. The walls were painted like an institution — not a home. Faceted glasses, soap still in a dish, aluminum forks that were in every Soviet household. And then, inside a wardrobe with a 1970s sticker still on the door: a coin from 1895. Then another coin. Then a small soldier figurine — possibly collectible.
