Sleep Token – "Euclid" FIRST TIME reaction and lyric breakdown. The closing track of Take Me Back to Eden, and the moment the entire trilogy closes its loop. That callback to "The Night Does Not Belong to God" gave me chills. Full thoughts below. This was my first time hearing Euclid, and it got me completely. It's such a full circle way to end the trilogy — when that callback to "The Night Does Not Belong to God" hit, the opening track from the very first album, I got chills. It made me feel like Vessel knew exactly how he was going to end this story the entire time. Three albums, and the final song reaches all the way back to the first one. Here's what surprised me most about my own reaction: I was locked into the lyrics this time instead of the instrumentation, and that is not how I normally listen at all. I'm usually far more invested in the instrumentation than the words. The fact that the writing pulled me away from that says everything about how good Vessel is at storytelling. Working through the lyrics, what I landed on is that this is Vessel finally breaking the cycle. He's leaving the relationship with Sleep — not because he wants to, but because he has to, for the betterment of himself. That's what makes it hurt. He isn't walking away from something he stopped loving. He's walking away because staying would cost him himself. It's a great way to close this chapter. The question I'm left with is whether the lore continues into the next album, or whether the lore is simply moving on the same way Vessel is. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro — the final song of the trilogy 0:22 Sundowning → This Place Will Become Your Tomb → Take Me Back to Eden 3:49 Is Eden in heaven? (genuine question) 4:43 Why I relistened to "The Night Does Not Belong to God" first 6:09 First listen begins 7:14 Thick tar, the ghost in the hallway, and who is actually singing 10:36 The empty ceiling and the Sundowning connection 14:06 "I just need to leave this part of me behind" 16:59 He is breaking the cycle 21:24 The callback hits — chills 23:13 It ended exactly the way it began 24:51 Why this reminds me of Call of Duty Zombies 27:21 Final thoughts — the story beat the music this time 💬 Do you think the story continues, or did Euclid close it for good?
