I’m back in the upstairs bedroom, and this time I’m finally getting into the details that are going to make this room feel intentional. I’m finishing the last drywall repairs, giving the doors another coat of Sherwin-Williams Stone Lion, and working through a few of the bigger design decisions for the space. I’m also sharing my plan for the little window nook, including a custom bookcase with a flip-over writing desk, and showing the fabric and cane combination I’m thinking about for the headboard. A lot of these ideas actually came from your comments, including the bookcase, using a cleat for the headboard, and checking underneath the old flooring before I make any final decisions. So thank you for helping me think through this room with fresh eyes. There’s still plenty left to do, but I finally feel like the design is starting to come together.
