Shiba Inu is one of the best performing altcoins in recent weeks. The meme-inspired cryptocurrency broke into the top ten cryptocurrencies by market cap and briefly threatened to overtake Dogecoin.
However, comparison of Shiba Inu's trading volume with other cryptocurrencies is data that is often overlooked. Shiba Inu is one of the most traded cryptocurrencies, especially during periods of peak market performance.
The latest market data on CoinMarketCap also supports this stance; Shiba Inu's trading volume appears to be $5.5 billion. This volume places Shiba Inu just behind BTC, ETH, and SOL in the rankings, excluding stablecoins.
