“My military instructor at Nachingweya would angrily shout in Swahili (Hii ni sababu hata kidogo) meaning This is hardly a reason at all, if someone said something he considers very unreasonable like this. Mnangagwa’s aim is to create a one party and a boycott would fulfil that objective. Mnangagwa would simply have created a pseudo state opposition to contest the elections like the several opposition parties that we saw participating in POLAD. The definition of stupidity, Is doing the same thing the same way expecting different results. Tsvangirai after the 2013 elections came up with the No Electoral Reforms No Elections boycott and was ignored as several other opposition filled the gap. The strategies of boycott has been used in several other African states to no avail. Boycotting election is a very stupid strategy which doesn't work.” None of your arguments hold water. None! Why did MDC leaders fail to implement even one token democratic reform during the GNU? There was no danger of Zanu PF “creating a pseudo state opposition” then? Mugabe bribe Tsvangirai and company with the trappings of high office the E-Class Mercedes Benz for all deputy ministers, ministers, two deputy PMs and PM Tsvangirai; the very generous salaries allowances all round, a US$4m mansion for Tsvangirai, farms and other gifts for top brass, etc., etc. In return Tsvangirai & co. throw reforms out of the window. Tsvangirai & co. failure to implement even one token democratic reform proved that there is nothing, absolutely nothing, some people will not do for a price. The only challenge is knowing the calling price. There are a number of issues many people find surprising about MDC leaders’ selling out on implementing the democratic reforms and the continued participation in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy: 1) that Mugabe was able to bribe the entire MDC leadership; oner 150 MPs and senators, 30 deputy ministers and ministers, 2 deputy PM and 1 PM; and they remained bought for nearly 5 years. 2) MDC leaders did not have the common sense to see the sheer futility selling out on implementing reforms and of participating in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy. 3) the very fact that millions of Zimbabweans have all but failed to see MDC/CCC leaders for whom they really are - corrupt, incompetent, liars and conmen - even with the benefit of hindsight speaks volumes of our people’s ignorance and naivety! A nation with such an ignorant electorate which is easily conned will never have a healthy and functioning democracy. Never! Chamisa did not have any difficulties conning millions to participate in flawed Zimbabwean election processes they have no clue what constitute free and fair elections much less what reforms are required, how they are implemented to ensure free and fair elections. So when Chamisa said he had plugged all the vote rigging loop wholes, they believed him no questions asked! When there are so many things you do not understand, you do not ask. You do not even know where to begin. Indeed, even when the ignorant make the right observation, more often than not, they will make the wrong conclusion! Want to create live streams like this?
