My Portfolio : https://adityaonrepeat.tech Github repo : https://adityaonrepeat.tech/bloom-v2 mail : @adityasinghstuff@gmail.com About the project : Bloom Live link: https://bloom-net.vercel.app • Built an anonymous mental wellness platform that matches users into emotion-based peer video conversations, featuring an AI therapist, journaling, and mood tracking. • Engineered a real-time matchmaking system (Socket.IO + Redis) with 4 emotion queues, atomic re-queueing, skip/rematch cooldowns, and sub-second match times, successfully handling 50+ concurrent socket connections during load testing. • Implemented a streaming AI therapist using Gemini API and Server-Sent Events (SSE), grounding responses in each user's emotional state and last 10 messages while reducing time-to-first-token to under 1 second through incremental token streaming. • Designed a session-based chat architecture with Prisma and PostgreSQL, enabling persistent conversation history, AI chat sessions, journaling, and mood tracking with optimistic UI updates powered by TanStack Query. • Secured 15+ API routes using Better Auth (Email/OAuth), Redis-backed rate limiting, and an automated peer moderation pipeline with configurable report thresholds for abuse prevention. • Architected the platform as two independently deployable services (Next.js application + standalone Socket.IO realtime server) deployed across Vercel and Render for scalable separation of web and realtime workloads.
