The partnership between House of Doge, Dogecoin Foundation, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and driver Devlin DeFrancesco will give Dogecoin fans the chance to vote for one of three designs.

One design will be used for DeFrancesco’s #30 Honda racecar in May at the Indianapolis 500, and fans can vote on the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing website for their favorite design.

The collaboration is also planning a Dogecoin-powered fundraising campaign to benefit Riley Children’s Foundation, which supports Riley Children’s Health—a leading metabolic and hematology program in the United States.

Those interested in voting for their favorite IndyCar design or contributing to the fundraiser can visit indycar.dogecoin.com until March 25.

A new partnership between House of Doge, the Dogecoin Foundation, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and driver Devlin DeFrancesco will give fans of the meme coin the chance to vote for one of three designs that could ultimately be used for DeFrancesco’s #30 Honda racecar in May at the Indianapolis 500.

Announced on Monday, the collaboration will also see the group launching a cryptocurrency donation to benefit the Riley Children’s Foundation, which supports Riley Children’s Health—a leading metabolic and hematology program in the United States.

Announcing the partnership on Monday, a spokesperson for House of Doge—a recently formed organization that works alongside the Dogecoin Foundation to boost adoption via collaborations and corporate deals—told Decrypt that the fundraising campaign will launch in the next week.

“Bringing Dogecoin to 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing' was such a natural fit for everyone involved,” the spokesperson said. “House of Doge and the Dogecoin Foundation can showcase how a decentralized community is able to mobilize for real-world adoption.”

The partnership will see the shiba inu meme logo, used by Dogecoin since its creation in 2013, take a premier placement on the IndyCar vehicle. It is the latest in a series of partnerships by the House of Doge to bring Dogecoin into the mainstream.

Earlier this year, House of Doge partnered with esports organization GenESIS to launch an initiative highlighting the intersection of Web3 and gaming.

Last year, the organization partnered with esports team Guild Esports to launch a scholarship program for women and members of the LGBTQ+ community in celebration of Women’s History Month.

It is also currently collaborating with several brands on a capsule collection of Dogecoin-themed apparel and merchandise, which will be available for purchase later this year.

The partnership with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing—which is co-owned by legendary comedian David Letterman—will see DeFrancesco serve as an ambassador for Dogecoin.

“I first invested in Dogecoin in 2020 and drove everyone crazy, telling anyone who would listen that they needed to own it,” the driver said in a statement. “It’s my favorite crypto and I’m pumped to be part of the community and an ambassador for the vision.”

Announcing the partnership, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing said it was “grateful” to be working with the Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge to support Riley Children’s Foundation.

“We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and we are thrilled to be able to team up with the Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge to support such an important cause,” a spokesperson for the racing team said.

The partnership comes as interest in cryptocurrency continues to grow rapidly.

Earlier this month, crypto exchange giant Coinbase announced a partnership with Aston Martin to become an official Formula 1 sponsor. The partnership will see Coinbase’s logo feature on Aston Martin’s F1 car and driver overalls.

Coinbase is the latest cryptocurrency company to sponsor a Formula 1 team. Other sponsors include Binance, which sponsors Scuderia AlphaTauri, and Crypto.com, which sponsors the Vivid Impact Foundation.

The involvement of cryptocurrency companies in Formula 1 is part of a broader trend of brands from the Web3 industry
